Professional Standards Institute today announced the December 6th release of a new certification program for Computer Systems Developers.
Talahassee, FL December 7, 2004 -- Individuals earning the PSI Certified Professional Systems Developer certification are professionals who have attained an advanced level of expertise and knowledge in Designing, Developing, and Implementing Computer Systems, said Gary Harris, Director.
The certification test is constructed to measure "Real World" expertise and knowledge. It is a vendor-neutral test; so specific book learning on a particular development language or methodology may not help applicants to pass the test. If an applicant has successfully designed, developed, and implemented several systems, then they should have no problem passing this test. It is highly recommended that applicants have at least five years of hands-on experience in this field prior to taking it.
The PSI Certified Professional Systems Developer (PSI-CPSD) certification test covers the following topics: Programming Logic, Design Methods and Tools, Database Technologies, Design, Modeling, Analysis, and Development, Development Methodologies, Object Oriented Programming, Systems Design, Development, Implementation, and Testing, Software Development Life Cycle, Risk Analysis, and Systems Documentation.
